AGM + Pitch to Win Night

This is our first ever community grant give-away night.

Community, come and pitch your project to win one of four x $250 grants or come along and vote for your favourite idea.

On offer:

  • 2 x $250 grants sponsored by Imagine Uraidla. These grants will be judged on the ability to create connection in our community.

  • 2 x $250 grants sponsored by the Sustainability Fair. These grants will be judged on their potential to foster environmental benefit.

You can expect:

A welcoming and interactive night with audience participation. The winners of the grants will be voted by members and announced on the night. Short AGM formalities, a snapshot of what Imagine Uraidla have been up to and what’s planned for the future. Plenty of time to chat and enjoy the night.

Anyone in our community - express your interest by sending us an email (imagineuraidla@gmail.com) with your:

  • Pitch Project Name

  • A short description of how you would use the $.

  • Contact details

  • Photos welcome in your application.

    Applications due Wednesday 18 October 2023.

Guidelines:

  • The grant pitches must focus on creating connection in the community or be of environmental benefit

  • The winners will be decided by a vote of the Imagine Uraidla members on the night

  • Winners will spend their grant by June 30, 2024 and provide Imagine Uraidla with receipts for their spending

  • Winners will commit to sharing photos / videos / stories of their activity with Imagine Uraidla

The idease are endless but some ideas could be...

  • A new poster design to welcome new club members

  • A morning tea for new people to a community / club

  • A dance night at the Uraidla Institute for anyone

  • Catering to cover a community event to bring people together

  • Hall hire fee to bring people together

  • Movie screening license fee to bring young people together

  • Craft materials to create a fun connection night

  • Payment for a guest speaker to bring together a skill share between generations

  • Creating an experience to bring together local families with young kids

  • Plants to spruce up a public community space

  • Seeds for a public flower installation

  • Materials to host a composting skill share workshop

  • Materials to create habitats for local fauna on public land

  • A community tree planting day 

  • A youth led digital sustainability campaign 

  • A skill share event for young people to learn a “lost art”

  • An energy audit of a community space or school
