On January 16 & 22 2023 a spotlight was on our townships as cyclists came through the valleys and hills as part of the 2023 Tour Down Under.

In our community the bees were buzzing amongst the blooming sunflowers. Yellow sprinked through the town from Summertown to Carey Gully and in all directions. Big efforts by mainstreet businesses and home owners along the entire route. We were overjoyed at your contributions and send many thanks to the bee and sunflower crew who put a touch on every possible corner.

Sunflowers bring smiles and feelings of hope, bees tell stories of connections and togetherness. That was our theme for 2023.
